So, I've come to the realization that I can't do any better than Deborah Lippmann when it comes to nail care essentials. Last week, I had just a smidge of Deborah Lippmann Addicted To Speed Top Coat left so I mixed it with a Sally Hansen topcoat and that was a biiiiig mistake. My nails were trash, lol. This made me come to the conclusion that I need to invest in not only a good top coat but a base coat which brings me to why we're all here: DL's Hard Rock (Base and Top Coat Nail Strengthening).
Description: A rock solid choice to strengthen and protect, this protein-rich treatment encourages healthy nail growth. It's especially beneficial for weak nails or post gel and artificial nail removal. Apply a think layer over bare nails, or use as a base or top coat. For best results of nail strengthening, apply a thin layer the next day and every day until you change your nail polish.
My sort of kind of review: It will be very hard to determine how effective this is. I'm leaning on DL's reputation. I usually take hair, nail and skin vitamins along with MSM which contributes to the durability of my and length of my nails. Although, I am not consistent with vitamin intake. Overall, I think it's worth the investment. I use a variety of nail polishes (mostly cheap) and DL makes my manicure look professional and it lasts at least 7 days. Disclaimer: I don't wash dishes. Any who, Hard Rock retails for 20 bucks. For more info, visit Deborah Lippmann.
