FAUX PRODUCT REVIEW 2: VITAMIN PLUS

Back so soon? Looks like it!  I bought this product the same day I bought the Perfect Mattifying Primer simply because I ran out of moisturizer and I thought it would be more effective if I used products of the same brand.  Note: This was not a recommended product from my facial. FAUX PRODUCT REVIEW 1: PERFECT MATTIFYING PRIMER

I’m attempting a new product review series entitled “Faux Product Reviews.” Some products are tough to review but I still want you to know about them. Most importantly, I don’t want to be blamed for a crap product. For more, read here!

THE BASIC REMIX

My first set of NCLA wraps stayed on for about 4 days, 3 hours, 22 minutes and 55 seconds. On Wednesday, I suffered a tear that rocked my spirit. I knew I had to remove them. I’m sure you’re saying to yourself “I can barely see it.” Well, who asked you? Removal wasn’t as bad as the reviews. I peeled from the bottom and used a wooden cuticle pusher to remove the rest. Some reviews stated that the removal process damaged their nails. To them, I say you probably used a cheap base coat (Read: The Case of the Bases). One thing I do want to say is that it took me a little over 30 minutes to remove *sends side eye to NCLA* And, I still had to remove my base coat after so tack on another few minutes to the total removal process. I saw my first (and only) one a year or so ago at a community theatre here in Jackson, MS. It was at the end of a long day, after I had a great meal and wine and because the temperature in the theatre was just right, I fell asleep. My husband vowed to never take me to another play. NCLA NAIL WRAPS ARE BASIC

I’ve always loved nail stickers aka nail wraps aka nail polish strips.  Like most, I started with Sally Hansen’s Nail Stickers. If you haven’t don’t bother, they suck.  My favorites were by OPI for Sephora but some idiot decided to discontinue that collection. Incoco did a great job of filling that void but their designs are limited.  As a result, I decided to shop NCLA. NCLA is a nail fashion line that includes nail lacquers, wraps and treatments. They’re also vegan, non-toxic and 5 free (Formaldehyde, DBP, Toluene, Formaldehyde Resin and Camphor).  Not that any of you care… For more, read here!
