|A bad photo of my nails :)|
Any who, I have visited nail salons since then but for manis and pedis. I typically polish my own nails. Yes, that is weird but it lasts longer when I polish vs. the three-day maximum I get from them but I digress.
This past Sunday, I went to a salon specifically for Shellac. I'm leaving for DC Thursday for a conference to accept my fellowship and present my subject-matter paper *insert applause here* and I will be there until Tuesday. I just really didn't feel like polishing my nails or bringing a backup kit if I get a chip.
What's Shellac? Shellac is the brand name for a new, patent pending nail product created by Creative Nail Design. It is a hybrid, meaning half nail polish, half gel. The product is thin and strong enough to be applied similarly to nail polish, but it is cured in a way that gives it great flexibility and durability. It also has the incredible shine associated only with gel nails. Shellac is for people who want to maintain natural nails. The formulation looks as good from day 1 to day 14, but does not appear to damage nail beds.
So I just want to take this time to call out CND. I usually copy and paste from the source but I was unable to. This is kind of free advertising but whatever, go ahead and lock up your system with your bad selves!
Shellac cost me 25 bucks. Not a manicure and Shellac, just the polish! I also wasn't too thrilled about the
This is actually my second time getting Shellac nails but I don't plan on making a habit of it. One: I don't want to spend the money for it. Two: I like to polish my nails and it's going to be tough keeping this color for 14 days :(
Oh yeah, visit Shellac, here!
