Review: Sinful Colors Lip Gloss

Last year, I was all like "OMG, sinful colors sells lip gloss?"  So today...I decided to try it out.  Most of the colors have glitter in it...which I don't like :/  Makes me think that I'm (a 27 year old) not their target audience.  So, I picked the two of three glitter free colors Always Red and Fruit Cocktail. goes:
  • The gloss retails for $2.99 although I thought it should be $1.99 like their nail polish, lol.
  • I don't like how it comes on nor do I like the smell
  • The coral color was sheer but the red was perfect
It's $2.99 so what did you expect? LOL!  I think it's great for everyday wear, maybe work or while you're hanging out on the weekend. It's quite thick and actually lasts so...I would def recommend it.  Lord knows I can't afford to be running through MAC lip gloss, lol.

$768 Million Was Spent On Nail Polish Last Year

So...I wanted to post this because I thought it was quite hilarious! I'm pretty sure I'm responsible for 1 million, lol. But honestly, the reason why I love nail polish so much is because I love color, I consider it the closest thing to an accessory, I can't afford a shopping spree but I can afford nail polish, I don't collect artwork but...nail polish will do. If I'm feeling bland, not too much make up or effort in my clothes (and accessories), it doesn't matter because I have on nail polish :)

Enough of about me (and my obsession), read the article!

Ulta Semi-Nail Polish Haul

It's a semi-haul because I didn't buy that much, lol.  I have been on the hunt for the perfect blue and I found it, but it happened to be from Essie ($8 bucks each) but then a few shelves over was Ulta's nail polish and THEY WERE ON SALE FOR $1.99 EACH!  Coupled with my coupons, I paid practically nothing.  I get daily coupons from them via email (and sometimes mail) so I like them better than Sephora.  Enough of chatter, below are the colors I picked out.

I'm not sure if I did a review on Ulta nail polish before but I'm willing to give it another go...  I'll probably post it sometime this week... Shop Ulta's nail polish.

Red August

Hey everyone, I hope you had a great 3-day vacation! This weekend, I sat down with Teresa Kennedy of Red August (who is hosting the event to your left) and she showed me a lot of pieces from her online store. I think I love everything, lol. Most notably:

This clutch retails for $50.  The padding makes the bag sturdy and let's face it, camo never goes out of style.  In addition, it's roomy enough to fit your iPad.

The Lionhead Doorknockers are a must-have.  These Versace-inspired earrings are a staple piece to any fashionista's jewelry collection.  They retail for $24.
Of course the link trend is in and not going anywhere so the "Ms. Prim & Popular" bracelet is great for Spring and Summer! The bracelet retails for $16.
The online store is much more than jewelry and purses.  Red August also sales men and women shoes and accessoreies (cufflinks, scarfs, candles, etc.).  Shop here!
And, if you're in the Jackson-Metropolitan area, don't forget to come out to "Six in the City" on February 5th!

PG's "For Men" Page

Hey guys,

After a few months of watching the stats on the men's page, I've decided that I'm probably going to axe it. If I have anything for the men, I will probably post it. However , my own boyfriend or brother doesn't check it so I know random guys aren't, lol.

Natural Hair Blow Out PART 3: My Products

1.      I begin my blow out process with Co-Washing.
2.      I let Hair Mayonnaise  sit in my hair from anywhere between 1 hour to overnight.
3.      I apply a dab of Liv to both my scalp and hair.
4.      For each piece I blow-out, I apply Element’s heat protection and Nubian Heritage’s heat protection cream.
Overall, I use 3 protectants and all the conditioners I use ensure my hair is:
·         Protected
·         Shedding and split ends are reduced
·         Healthy
And yes, I do this weekly (because shrinkage is a bitch)!  But don’t forget, I do take hair vitamins daily (for extra protection)!
